SECTION 1. The Code of Ordinances of the City of Providence, Chapter 16, Entitled, “Offenses and Miscellaneous Provisions”, Article II, “Discrimination”, is hereby amended to include Section 16-86, Entitled “Affirmative Action Plan”.  

 

Sec. 16-86. - Affirmative Action Plan

 

(a)              The affirmative action officer shall, on August 30 of each year, present to the city council a plan detailing the city’s efforts to ensure equal employment opportunities for all of the citizens of the city within the city government. This plan shall be prepared in accordance with the criteria set forth by the city’s affirmative action office, in cooperation with the director of personnel.

 

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
