              COUNCILMAN APONTE:

 

              An Ordinance in Amendment of Chapter 27 of the Ordinances of the City of Providence, Entitled: “The City of Providence Zoning Ordinance”, Approved June 27, 1994, As Amended, to change certain text in Articles I, III, IV, X, and Appendix A; to revise the regulations of the W-3 Zone pertaining to permitted and prohibited uses; to create a new W-4 Zone, Entitled: “Working Waterfront Protection District”; and to apply the W-4 Zone to an area of land along the Providence River south of Thurbers Avenue.

              Resolution Requesting to extend the deadline for the Commission to Study Tax Exempt Institutions for submission of their final report to the City Council to October 21, 2010.

              Resolution Authorizing His Honor the Mayor to execute an agreement between the City of Providence, on behalf of the Providence Water Supply Board, and Century Bank, for a Five Million Dollar ($5,000,000.00) Revolving Loan for a 364 day period, with the option to renew the Revolving Loan for two additional 364 day periods at the same terms.

 

              COUNCIL PRESIDENT MANCINI Refers the Resolution to the Committee on Finance.

 

              COUNCILWOMAN DIRUZZO:

 

              Resolution Requesting the Chief Electrical Inspector to cause the installation of a light on Pole No. 25 located in front of 235 Waverly Street.

              Resolution Requesting the Tax Assessor to apply the Homestead Exemption to the property located on Assessor’s Plat 135, Lot 199 (225 George Street).

              COUNCILMAN JACKSON (By Request):

 

              Resolution Requesting the Tax Assessor to apply the Homestead Exemption to the property located on Assessor’s Plat 5, Lot 31 (37 Evergreen Street), for the years 2002 to 2008.

 

              COUNCIL PRESIDENT MANCINI Refers the Resolution to the Committee on Finance.

 

 

              COUNCILMAN NARDUCCI:

 

              Resolution Requesting the Acting Director of the Department of Public Property to cause the transfer of that bulletin board, located on Allens Avenue and Service Road, to the new Animal Control Center on Terminal Road in Providence.

PRESENTATION OF ORDINANCE

 

              COUNCILMEN HASSETT, IGLIOZZI and SOLOMON:

              An Ordinance in Amendment of Chapter 2010-31, No. 256, Effective July 30, 2010, Entitled: “An Ordinance Providing for the Assessment and Collection of 2010 taxes in a sum not less than Two Hundred Four Million Three Hundred Eighty Five Thousand Sixty Dollars ($284,385,060.00) and not more than Three Hundred Seven Million, Four Hundred Twenty Five Thousand, Two Hundred Seventy One Dollars ($307,425,271.00) being based on a One Hundred Percent (100%) of the 2010-2011 Fiscal Year Tax Collections, Amending Section 21-182 of the Code of Ordinances to reflect the Tax Collection Classification Plan approved by the Rhode Island General Assembly, Amending Section 21-126 of the Code of Ordinances to raise the personal exemptions, and setting the homestead rates for Fiscal Year 2011.”
