Kumins of 4 Cole Farm Court, Providence, Rhode Island 02906, to the Board of Tax Assessment Review for a term to expire in January 2013, and respectfully submits the same for your approval.

PRESENTATION OF RESOLUTIONS

 

              COUNCILMAN IGLIOZZI:

 

              Resolution Requesting the Tax Assessor to apply the Homestead Exemption to the property located on Assessor’s Plat 112, Lot 23 (84 Merino Street), for the years 2008 and 2009.

 

              ACTING COUNCIL PRESIDENT DIRUZZO Refers the Resolution to the Committee on Finance.

 

 

              Resolution Requesting to cancel or abate in whole the taxes assessed upon Assessor’s Plat 109, Lot 624 (151 Daniel Avenue), for the years 2004 to 2007.

 

              ACTING COUNCIL PRESIDENT DIRUZZO Refers the Resolution to the Committee on Finance.

 

 

              COUNCILMAN NARDUCCI (By Request):

 

              Resolution Requesting the Chief Electrical Inspector to cause the upgrade, repair and/or replacement of the street lights located on Pole numbers 178 and 179 on Charles Street.

 

              Read and Passed, on Motion of COUNCILMAN HASSETT, seconded by COUNCILMAN DELUCA.

 

              The Motion for Passage is Sustained.

 

 

              COUNCILMAN NARDUCCI:

 

              Resolution Requesting the Chief Electrical Inspector to cause the repair and upgrade of the lighting on Pole number 4-50 on Tappan Street.

 

              Read and Passed, on Motion of COUNCILMAN HASSETT, seconded by COUNCILMAN DELUCA.

 

              The Motion for Passage is Sustained.

 

              Resolution Requesting the Traffic Engineer to cause the installation of “No Parking” Signs on both sides of Enterprise Street.

 

 

              COUNCILMAN SOLOMON (By Request):

 

              Resolution Requesting the Traffic Engineer to cause Elmhurst Avenue to be established as “One-Way” Street from Eaton Street to Fairoaks Avenue during school hours, with only school buses being allowed to enter from Fairoaks Avenue to Eaton Street.

 

              COUNCILMAN HASSETT Moves to Dispense with the Reading of the foregoing matters.

 

              ACTING COUNCIL PRESIDENT DIRUZZO Refers the Several Resolutions to the Committee on Public Works.

 

 

              Resolution Requesting the Tax Assessor to apply the Homestead Exemption to the property located on Assessor’s Plat 83, Lot 29 (605 Academy Avenue), for the years 2002 to 2007.

 

              ACTING COUNCIL PRESIDENT DIRUZZO Refers the Resolution to the Committee on Finance.

 

              Resolution Authorizing the Mayor to Execute an Agreement between the Town of Gloucester and the Providence Water Supply Board relating to the Taxation of Property owned by the Providence Water Supply Board in the Town of Gloucester.

 

              Read and Passed, on Motion of COUNCILMAN HASSETT, seconded by COUNCILMAN DELUCA.

 

              The Motion for Passage is Sustained.

 

 

              COUNCILMAN TEJADA (By Request):

 

              Resolution Requesting the Traffic Engineer to cause Woodmont Street to be established as a “One-Way” Street in a southeasterly direction from Reservoir Avenue to Narragansett Avenue between the hours of 8:00 o’clock a.m. to 9:30 a.m., and from 2:00 o’clock p.m. to 3:30 o’clock p.m. on school days.

 

              ACTING COUNCIL PRESIDENT DIRUZZO Refers the Resolution to the Committee on Public Works.

 

 

              Resolution Requesting the Traffic Engineer to allow parking on both sides of Potters Avenue ending at Huntington Parkway.

              COUNCILMAN WOOD (By Request):

 

              Resolution Requesting the Tax Assessor to apply the Homestead Exemption to the property located on Assessor’s Plat 10, Lot 703 (2 Thomas Street, Unit 600), for the years 2006 and 2007.

 

              ACTING COUNCIL PRESIDENT DIRUZZO Refers the Resolution to the Committee on Finance.

 

              Resolution Requesting the Tax Assessor to apply the Homestead Exemption to the property located on Assessor’s Plat 39, Lot 524 (9 University Avenue), for the years 2003 to 2008.

 

              ACTING COUNCIL PRESIDENT DIRUZZO Refers the Resolution to the Committee on Finance.

 

 

              COUNCILWOMAN YOUNG and COUNCILMAN LOMBARDI:

 

              Resolution Requesting the Rededication of the Lieutenant William Armstrong Memorial Square.

              There being no further business, on Motion of COUNCILMAN HASSETT, seconded by COUNCILMAN DELUCA, it is voted to adjourn at 7:40 o’clock P.M. (E.S.T.), to meet again UPON THE RISE OF THE 7:00 O’CLOCK REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING.
